Recently visited Japan. Stayed overnight at a Buddhist temple, partially ascended Mount Misen, and munched on kushikatsu. Also ate unadon, chutoro and snacked on baumkuchen from konbinis. Found quirkiness in Tokyo and then serenity in Kyoto.
